Your chart looks right for a platform that's now put HALF of its writer revenue pool into subscription sales. We're writers, not newsboys. And Medium pays the newsboys better than it pays the writers. Which is fine, till the writers start "quiet quitting" (lots of us) or LEAVING ALTOGETHER. I've been saying for two years that it's inevitable. You and I both know it. And the problem with Substack is that we'd have to support EACH of the writers we like (sometimes, all the time?) separately. I don't know why we can't do the whole micropayments thing right, but you'd think someone would've cracked the nut by now, surely?
