Yes. But it’s not worth being a hamster on anyone else’s wheel.

This is self-publishing, pure and simple. This is the deal, for writing whatever we want and the algorithm be damned. If you want to be paid, be a freelancer. Work for hire. If you want to rack up the publishing credits, submit to journals, magazines, and publishers that have editorial standards and don’t love you.

But if you want fun and total creative freedom, stick around. Just remember — your writing isn’t mere “content," even if that’s literally ALL it is to the platform itself. And you’re writing for readers, not machines.
