Yes, but…

I didn’t really want to, because you and the site will lose readers that way. The short-term gains are offset by the loss of paying readership, and eventually the site will implode if that’s all there is. It’s a lose-lose strategy.

I wrote this in response to a number of good writers here who were in imminent danger of losing their MPP membership because they were still a few followers off.
