Where'd you get SEVEN? I heard five. As in "the five-point paragraph," which I always thought was a bit formulaic. I was glad to read, years later, that sticking to that was the hallmark of an amateur. Still, it's useful at times and better than the current business-writing advice that says, basically, reduce everything to a three-item bullet list. "Tell me what you're going to tell me, tell me, then tell me what you just told me." Why? Are these people idiots?
