Where this link lands is infuriating. Clearly, we need patrons like the Renaissance masters. Because it's not true that "our writing is worth what readers are willing to pay for it." That is just commercial content and anyone with half a brain knows readers would rather pay for cheap knock-offs at Wal-Mart if they can get them.
