Poetry
What’s in a Name?
All and nothing
I am
Tartly sweet,
like my mother.
I am
The name-carrier
Of all who came before.
I am
Born of water,
powered by wind.
I am
Enough, entire,
Whole, and wholly me.
I am
The daughter (not the son)
Of a vigorous man.
I am
The World conquered
And conquering.
I am all of these things and so much more.
