What kills the writing (or the joy of it) is to try to force yourself to be the other — against all natural inclination. It’s not always good to “force yourself out of your comfort zone.”
One thing pantsers can do to keep life simpler is to keep a notebook handy; we do run the risk of changing our characters’ eye color or other little details, fifty pages down the road. Or mucking up a timeline. ;)
