We have pantsers, plotters, and plantsers.

We have linguistic prescriptivists and descriptivists — what do you call those of us somewhere in between? The ones who, for the sake of clear communication, insist on some standardization (if not in vocabulary, then at least in dictionary definitions, grammar/syntax, and punctuation) but appreciate the fact that languages is ever evolving and thank God on the daily that we’re not reading the Internet in Old English? Pragmatists?
