Up to a point, some of these rights are simply necessary for Medium to do as we ask it to - to display our content. "Non-exclusive" means we can share it with other sites - this is not at all nefarious. "Royalty free" PROBABLY is meant to refer to content we post but do not put behind the paywall, but it should be spelled out more clearly. "Worldwide" is again needed for any site on the Internet, really - if the content is public facing and cannot be geofenced. I'm okay with all but "sublicensable" (and might even be okay with that IF they were a lot more specific about the entities they could sublicense TO - e.g., legal subsidiaries or parent company - I envision them selling Medium to some other company, and no one would buy them without this provision).
