This is the most concerning, to me, of recent changes. I do like to F4F anyone who pays their dues and contributes to the revenue pool. All others have a bit higher bar to pass in terms of quality writing, interaction in comments, promoting others, etc.

I now hesitate even more before following anyone, since they've hidden or cloaked that little "paid member" icon. Why, indeed?
