This has always been the "rule," and yet our feeds are cluttered with this dreck. Now, if we write about our thoughts on recent changes at Medium, that might be worth reading. But could you maybe bury all the derivative "how to make money on medium" posts? They will always be "popular." And they will always be unearthable by Google. You don't need to plaster them all over the feed, just because someone happens to click on clickbait ONCE.
