There’s irony in being disappointed when wanting acceptance as we are from people we can’t or won’t accept as they are.

I wonder what church this was. Not one I grew up in; doesn’t sound like it, anyway. I grew up in Ohio, and had family in Pennsylvania. I live in “the buckle of the Bible Belt" (maybe a bit South of it) these days.
