There's a reason why, under copyright law, only the copyright holder can initiate a lawsuit or a DMCA take-down notice, and when doing so, they have to affirm they have that right. YOURS is to protect your publication, to refrain from promulgating further harm, and to alert the original author (if you're able to ascertain that, for sure). Copyright violation is NEVER flattery; it's theft, dishonesty, and intellectual laziness. Period.
