That "verified" badge should be available to ALL members who have proved their identity, not just to "influencers" and exceedingly famous celebrities and politicians. Tell that to Facebook and Instagram, please. Some of us who are not QUITE as famous as you could use the same levels of protection. (My Facebook account was recently cloned on Instagram. Fortunately, my friends are super smart, yanked the scammer's chain a while, and reported them numerous times. But they could have done a fair bit of damage in the 3-4 days it took for Meta to act on it, and I am STILL actively reporting another one who impersonated a friend - over a week later!)
