Showing her that she's endangering her DOG (as an inattentive parent might be, if they miss a pedophile offering candy to their kids) if she refuses to comply with the LAW is hardly "intent to scare dog owners into complying with his demands." No, not HIS demands - the LAW.

I like dogs. I've had them as pets. I've also been bitten - twice. My mom was terribly afraid of dogs. My kids have been terrorized by off-leash neighborhood dogs. So no, I do not find in this any reason whatsoever to have sympathy for Amy Cooper.

Unlike you, I have been threatened by strangers - more than once. I'm not easily scared or intimidated, so nothing ever came of it nor was I particularly petrified or traumatized by it. All she had to do was grab hold of her dog's collar, put a leash on it, and leave. That wouldn't have been complying with Christian's "demands," but simply complying with THE LAW. She has NO right to let her dog run loose there, and there are many people who would feel more threatened by THAT than by anything Christian Cooper said or did.
