Revert, if you went with the beta, and send them clear feedback. I did that. I basically expressed grief over what I'd done to my publication by converting it to the new look - beta testers for the publications features should DEFINITELY use a test publication - NOT one of their main pubs with followers. It's not ready for prime time at all, in my opinion, and probably HAS been pushed to a back burner.

But they're definitely listening to that feedback. The lead designer emailed me to tell me that (despite what the instructions said) we COULD just toggle that public view off and it would (mostly) revert. You'll have to do a few tweaks to restore exactly the old look and feel, then, but they're pretty minor.
