Oh, AMEN.

If the truly pro-life would just focus FIRST on making this a better, kinder, healthier, less judgmental world for all — for women and children who are already born — if they would focus FIRST on making a world where abortion for any reason other than saving the life of the mother was not just seen as a moral failing by some, but as utterly unnecessary and irrelevant for all women, I could get behind that. But until that day comes, I am committedly pro-choice and grateful beyond words for circumstances in my own life that meant I never had to wrestle with that choice, myself. This doesn’t make me better than any woman who has. It means I was lucky and privileged. For that, I am grateful.
