Most of my comments, here, are in jest. But I do think it's important to understand the "rules" of grammar, spelling, and punctuation before breaking them willy-nilly, with impunity. Those who don't know them will take this as gospel - "there are no rules! Write with wild abandon!" - and their writing will suffer for it. Only those of us who've owned multiple grammar guides and style guides (and even won bets with them) will find this hilarious - though I do worry about your Master's Thesis (seriously??).

I think you feel about CMS the way I feel about the damnable Strunk & White!
