Logo Redux
They’re just punking us now, right?
So, the GMail logo has turned into this:
I’m going to miss the little envelope, but I guess I can see why Medium feels a need to distinguish themselves with something more symbolic and less “been there, done that” than a letter of the alphabet.
How about this?
No, no — to be honest, I hate this one too. But the story behind it — “Medium: where small, fuzzy greenish-gray ideas go to to incubate until they’re ready to shine for readers everywhere”? Well, okay, that needs work, too. But you get the idea.
Trademarks and logo design are hard.
One good thing about my two proposals, so far? Nobody else — and I mean nobody else — is using them.
