Just do remember that Messenger and Insta are part of the Zuckerberg empire; the data will be shared. (WhatsApp, too, but at least you can have encrypted private conversations — which I don’t THINK applies to Messenger, unless they’ve updated privacy there.)

If you’re not going to take a stand, might just as well stay.

I just can’t get anyone to leave, so until the thing burns itself down, I’ll probably stick around. But for those of us who do, it’s important to safeguard and back up the data. We could lose it without notice on a whim.
