You can almost tell who has, can't you? They rarely write to express frustration with how little they earn on a platform like Medium; they save their ire for the noise that drowns out the signal. They - we - know why we're here. It's where we come to express our own thoughts in our own way and know that the deal isn't "publishable work of value" but we hope it captures the attention of the reader and is maybe something relatable enough to be worth their time to read, and thus translate into pennies.
