I recently unfriended (though did not block) an old friend/colleague because he insists that there is no racism and that Obama was racist.

I've listened to him and I understand where he might (not unreasonably, but personally) feel a strong bias. (He also is not "white," himself, but South American.) He refuses to consider other viewpoints, to the point where further conversation was merely exhausting and unproductive. He is the antithesis of Trump, yet supports him unconditionally.

It saddened me to "give up" on a friend.
