I have been told that read time on the profile page will still count as read time. More concerning, though - and I brought this up with the design team for the new publications design - is this same scrolling through publications, where the "Read more" will likely just be ignored unless the reader notices it and realizes that there IS more and cares. That's three separate things that have to happen - it's a small and visually unobtrusive link; if the "more" falls after a complete section/paragraph break, a reader might not even realize there's supposed to be more; they may be in "skim" mode and just keep scrolling by...

I'm not too worried about it on the profile page, but it's kind of an ugly experience for longer pieces, isn't it?
