I have a rule (usually applied to food): You cannot say "Eww, yuck, gross!" unless you've actually TASTED it (provided it's not likely to kill you).

Same goes for different types of writing. So now you've written one, you can say, "Sestina is just not my cup of tea," and that's absolutely fair. I kind of despise the Villanelle, myself!
