I agree. I've migrated my own blog subscribers over the years to newer platforms (but always free, always double opt-in, and they have to agree anew). Pretty sure you'd lose me by subscribing me too a whole new for-pay list. It isn't thoughtful; better, send those lists a more personal invitation and your subscribe link.
