How horribly sad.

I don't think children are "born evil." I do believe there are very rare instances of child psychopathy; that's NOT the child's fault, and they should receive treatment and protection, even if it's judged that they are a danger to others and must be detained. It doesn't sound like this was the case with Mary Bell. What happened to her mother? Did she just get away with it all?
