Healing the Divide

It would be an awful shame to let it turn gangrenous.

The Wealth Gap

I find humor, sarcasm, and satire cathartic. These are the essential tools on my survival knife. Unfortunately, we are living through an era in which real people honestly believe that The Onion is “real news,” and that the mainstream media is lying to them, rather than simply pandering to their tastes like a prostitute wearing nothing but a mirror. In searching for stories about how to heal the divide, I came across an interesting mix of sincerity and coping humor. I found this piece utterly delightful — and it dates back to May 2020, so given the paucity of hands clapping, I can only assume its author doesn’t understand how tagging and self-promotion work.

To digress, for just a moment, this writer is also a fine poet. Hat’s off to you, Joseph Pritchard. I hope this brings you some new readers and followers. You deserve them.
