Did no one ever give you a "career aptitude test"? That's basically all those were. I remember taking one at 15 that said I should be a lumberjack. That was hilarious. (I was actually helping to beta test the test - it was being developed in Canada, and was far from final.) MOST of them told me I should probably be a speech pathologist, and only in the past 10-15 years or so did I realize that might have been a great career for me. Didn't interest me in my teens, that's for sure. But at least it gave me some idea of other possible careers I never would have considered or even known existed. Kids should be encouraged to explore all the possibilities out there.
