Time to stop with the meta-blogging.

Here’s my advice to writers on sites like this — and it’s very similar to yours. I hope they listen, but I think we should stop giving it, and simply lead by example. If they refuse to follow, the site will wither. A few will reap short-term gains, but in the process they’ll destroy it for serious writers and readers who come here to be entertained, amused, or learn something other than “how to make a gazillion dollars killing the golden goose.” It’s that simple. You’re right — collectively, it’s our fault. But I’ve seen how the game ends, and I’m not playing.
